LRC EXPANSION/CORRIDOR WIDENING

Penrhyn Road is the main campus at Kingston University, London, and with large numbers of students passing through the University each day it was felt the main corridor and Learning Resources Centre both required expansion.

Lavingtons were appointed as Project Managers, Contract Admininstrator, Quantity Surveyor and CDM Co-ordinator.

A number of difficulties were overcome along the way due to the age of the building and infrastructure. Both budget and time targets were met and walking through the University now it is difficult to believe the original corrdior was so narrow.
